Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Samfora's donor data platform ("Platform") operated by Samfora AB, org. nr. "559364-7448"; ("Samfora", "we", "us"). By accessing or using the Platform at samfora.io, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. About the Platform
Samfora provides a donor relationship management platform for nonprofit organizations ("NGOs") to manage fundraising data, donor relationships, and donation processing. The Platform is available at samfora.io and related subdomains.
2. Eligibility
The Platform is intended for use by authorized representatives of registered nonprofit organizations. By creating an account, you represent that you have the authority to bind your organization to these Terms.
3. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
- Upload or transmit any malicious code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
- Use the Platform to send unsolicited communications to donors
- Misrepresent your organization's identity or status
5. Donor Data
You retain ownership of all donor data you upload or collect through the Platform. Samfora processes this data on your behalf as a data processor under GDPR. You are responsible for ensuring you have appropriate legal bases for processing donor personal data.
6. Donation Processing
Donations processed through the Platform are handled by our payment processor, Stripe. Samfora does not hold or control donated funds. Samfora charges no platform fees — 100% of donations go directly to the recipient organization.
7. Availability
We aim to provide reliable access to the Platform but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance or updates that temporarily affect access. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance of planned downtime.
8. Intellectual Property
The Platform and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Samfora AB and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your data remains yours.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Samfora shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@samfora.org. Upon termination, we will provide a reasonable period for you to export your data.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden. Any disputes shall be resolved by the courts of Stockholm, Sweden.
